Kato Rena (加藤玲奈?), nicknamed Renacchi (れなっち?), was a member of Team 4. She is one of the primary characters in AKB48 Murder Mystery series and was the first victim. She was based on and is portrayed by Kato Rena.

Parts in the Story

All 89 members of AKB48 were shooting for a CM for Glico at a two-part isolated island owned by a good friend of their producer, Akimoto Yasushi. Sashiko was wandering around the mansion when she found Rena.

CM Version

Rena was found by Sashiko in the hallway, dead. No visible wound was seen at first, but after a close inspection by Detective Maeda, there was a small wound on her left forehead indicating that she was killed when she was struck there. The attacker then used Rena's cellphone to forecast her next target. After the attacker left, Rena used her own blood from the small wound to write a coded message.

Sashiko found Rena's body in the dining hall. A large amount of Rena's blood was seen splattered around, there was a large wound on her left forehead indicating that she was killed when she was struck there. The killer then used Rena's cellphone to forecast her next target. After the attacker left to hide evidences, Rena used her own blood from her wound to write a coded message. It was later revealed that Rena was actually convincing the culprit to stop her plan in killing the core members of Teams A, K and B.
